"Eventide" is a vintage Maxfield Parrish print originally commissioned and produced in 1944 by the Brown & Bigelow Calendar Company for use on calendars. 

Maxfield Parrish (1870-1966) was one of the most successful and original American painters and illustrators of the early 20th century.  He is known for his distinctive saturated hues, landscapes, and whimsical mythological scenes.  

"Eventide" is 10" x 14" in image size and 13" x 16.5" in overall size. It is in very good condition with a light crease in the lower left corner of the print and some light creases in the paper from where the print was attached to the calendar backing.

Chuck Olson spent over 40 years collecting and traveling the United States in search of unique vintage prints.  He was especially interested in prints that were printed for use on calendars in the "Age of the Calendar" from 1900-1960.
