Brand new in the package, WHIP Racing Innovations Carbon Fiber Center Drive Shaft Set for Tamiya Top Force, DF01, TA01, Manta Ray.  Replaces the stock steel propeller shaft, stiock steel input shafts (Front/rear).

Shaft weights in at 6g and is much stiffer than the stock.

Note: this part requires aluminum drive cups on each end.  The front/rear aluminum drive cups are included

I made these drive shafts for my own TC3 back in 2004 and found it offered a great improvement in rotating mass and improved acceleration/top speed.  I stopped making them in 2008.  However, many racers have started using the shaft driven touring cars for VTA racing and drifting and have requested I make more of these parts.    This model is designed as a direct drop in replacement for the TamiyaTB05 Pro.

Hollow Carbon Fiber Drive Shafts

Finally a light weight drive shaft for the HPI Pro 4 that will not bend or flex.  The lightest, stiffest drive shaft on the market.  Will not flex at high speed like the stock aluminum shaft included in the HPI pro 4 kits.  A direct replacement for stock or aftermarket shafts.  Constructed from anodized aluminum tips with a 100% pure hollow carbon fiber center section attached using ultra strong epoxy.  A direct replacement for the original center drive shaft – no modifications required.  The ultimate set up for Stock and 19T turn racing.  Not recommended for use with low turn modified motors, although extensive testing with modified motors as low as 8T and foam tires was performed without issues to the drive shafts. Below are a few quotes from racers who have tested the drive shafts under extreme conditions:

“Hey Guys,
I have been testing the shafts in a modified touring car and it has held up fine so far. It has been run in many applications, Mod Foam TC with an 8X1, stock foam tc, stock rubber tc. It has not broken and has shown very few signs of wear on the tips that go into the cups on the input shafts. It looks like these should be ready to go for just about any application.”

“Hi all. Last weekend we raced in a high banking, indoor bicycle oval track. Due to driver error we crashed our TC3. We broke our right hand side suspension, but the shaft survived and is still running true!! During the crash the car was doing +/- 90 km/h. The centre drive is still running perfectly true and makes the car run quieter and faster. The aluminum center shaft is very poor poor quality and we're very happy with our new carbon fibre ones!!”

-Johannes Voerman (Netherlands) - running insane speed runs with a TC3

“I bought one of the shafts for my bj4, and I am having no problems with it. Works great. Yes the buggy has a upper deck thought, but regardless it handles a novak velocity 6.5 powered by the orion lipo with ease.”
