Graphic designer JUN WATANABE has customized the Hot Shot II, which first appeared in 1987 as an improved version of the Hot Shot, Tamiya's first shaft-driven 4WD racing baby carriage that was much admired. |
The coloring has been redesigned from the original version, which was mainly black with yellow and orange stripes. |
The new design is brilliant blue with white stripes. |
Moreover, the polycarbonate body and rear wing are painted in brilliant blue and pre-cut. |
In addition, the original shape of the driver doll's seating position, which was too low, was changed, and the upper deck and roll cage were changed as new parts to where we believe humans would be in this position in a real car. |
Additionally, the body guard, rear guard, and side plates were designed by JUN. |
Special stickers for the motor, light pods, and the mounting angles of the side number plates were also carefully incorporated.
