Description from AO Website

This brilliant electric hob from Belling would be the perfect centrepiece for your kitchen worktop. It has 4 induction zones which use electromagnets to heat the base of your cookware rather than the whole hob surface, for really efficient cooking. This means it has clever pan detection too, which only warms a zone up when you place your pot on the top, making it extra-safe to use. Whether you’re simmering a delicious sauce or steaming vegetables, there’s also a handy timer that’ll let you know when your food’s ready. And, if you do need to reduce the temperature, this model’s touch controls are easy to use.

Please note: this model has a Power Management Function. Some induction hobs can be plugged in at the wall, rather than needing an electrician to hard-wire it. If you choose to plug in, the Power Management Function will limit the power to each zone. For example, if you have a 13 amp connection, the heat levels across all four zones cannot add up to more than 12. So, if one zone is on level 8 and you turn another zone to level 7 (8+7=15), the first zone will automatically be reduced to level 5 (5+7=12).
