In 1951 to celebrate the Festival of Britain, the Royal Mint released a very special Limited Issue St George Slaying the Dragon 5 Five Shillings Crown Coin.


The reverse features Pistrucci's St George Slaying the Dragon while the obverse depicts the Bare Head portrait of George VI.

These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
