Antique Flow Blue handled Covered Butter Dish WM Grindley IDRIS Cheese Plate Clover & Gold

This piece has been used and does show signs of wear. The plate has a lot of surface scratching and one very deep cut. There is no gold remaining on the rim of the plate. The plate is marked W.H. Grindley & Co., England, and IDRIS. There is an imprinted number could be a 50? Also a O in blue on the back of the plate. The back of the plate does have some manufacturers marks that we’re not glazed over. They show some staining. There are some blue marks as well on the back of the plate. The dish is approximately 9 inches across.

The cover of the dish does retain most of its gold on the rim and handle. The lid is approximately almost 6 inches across. The height of the dish not including the handle is approximately 2 inches. With the handle the height is approximately 3 inches. The handle is approximately 1 inch across and less than quarter inch in height. There is a great deal of staining on the inside rim of the lid/cover. please see photos as part of description.
