Author is Rounsevelle Wildman, US Consul General in Hong Kong. and illustrations by the Canadian artist Henry Sandham. 

Blue cloth boards with gold decoration and titles very bright on the front board and slightly faded on the spine. All very clean and not bumped. Hinges and binding tight and all pages present and undamaged. Top of pages gilt. Black and white full plate illustrations. Guard tissue perfect and in place at title page.
