Antique, Chicago Park District, Wood Indian Club Pin, Exercise, Juggling, 16-Inches, RARE

Here is a (one) vintage/antique Indian Club / Indian Pin manufactured by the Fred Medart Manufacturing Company. Etched into the wood is “Chicago Park District” in an interesting, circular design, possibly burnt into the wood. It also says, 1 lb. It is 16 inches long with a ball-shaped top. The manufacturer’s icon appears above the 1 lb text.

The Medart company is out of St. Louis, and I found this online:
“Starting in 1875 and throughout the first half of the 20th century, The Fred Medart MFG Co. in St. Louis, Missouri was the place to get lockers, benches, basketball hoops, balance beams, wall pulleys, boxing rings, ladders, climbing ropes and anything else one would need to set up and run a gymnasium. Their logo featured a kettlebell lifter.”

This is quite a rare item. I’m thinking the vintage is the 1920s.

There is a crack in the wood, as photographed, but it does not impact the solidness or security of the wood and is not that visible.
