Hello, up for your consideration is an authentic antique circa late 19c. special hi-grade pestle. Superb rare and unusual piece, an eagle claw handle pestle with natural banded agate ball head. Hollow cast chrome-plated brass with absolutely great attention to details, no producer markings. Agate with internal cracks from traces of use but no missing pieces of the stone or chipping. Agate is a very dense material that does not allow bacteria or other contaminants to settle on its surface, reducing the risk of cross-contamination. I cant't find anything similar with my online research, probably was used by old pharmacist, alchemist or for even witch crafting. A true museum piece.
