CONDITION CLASSIFICATION GUIDELINES

Due to the inherent nature of vintage and antique items, and pre-owned or new old store stock removed from shelves, condition descriptions are subjective. We do our best to describe the condition of our items as carefully as possible and we post several photos of the actual item.  Photos are magnified to show details but we also include measurements for your review.

We do not attempt to clean, polish, repair or otherwise alter any of our old store stock, vintage or antique items. Vintage or antique jewelry may show a patina consistent with age. We sell our vintage items as acquired, as is. 

Sterling silver may show tarnish. Tarnish is not a defect; it is a natural process occurring on silver when exposed to air. Age/era is an estimation but represented to the best of our knowledge based on provenance or acquisition time frame. Stones, gems or pearls may show naturally occurring variations in color, quality or inclusions. Natural stones may vary in shape and size.

NEW OLD STORE STOCK NOT SOLD - Item was purchased in liquidation from major upscale US department stores. May have been overstock or just never sold. Sterling silver items may show tarnish and the packaging, display cards or boxes if any may show shop wear and remnants of store labels/stickers

NEW OLD STORE STOCK, MAY BE CUSTOMER RETURNS  Items are usually in very good/good condition. Removed from store shelves due to aging or being returned by a customer. May or may not show slight defects,
