Clamping Wheels to Cut Tread is Not a True Index of the Bore.

The Internal Material was Removed by Indirect Index of the Wheel Bore.

A Special Jig is Used to Remove the Inside Material After the Outer Thread has Been Cut.

This 2009 Wheel Set Originally Weighed 3.6 grams/Piece.

1.7g of Material was Removed to Attain 1.9 grams/Piece.

The 2009 Wheels are Devastating on the Track when Properly Modified.

I Used a Version of these Wheels to Set the Record at PWDR in the Pro Stock Division.

That Record Stood Until the League Collapsed around 2013.

Lightened Wheels

Material has been Removed From the Inside Area of the Wheels at the Outer Tread Area.

Wheel Weight Average: 1.90 gram

Stock Wheel Weight: 3.6 gram

The Removal of Material from the Inner Tread Area Aids in Reducing the Coefficient of Inertia.

By Lowering the Coefficient of Inertia, the Car will be Faster Out of the Starting Gate.

In Addition, the Material Removal Aids in Balancing the Wheels.

Superior Wheel Bore Preparation

Look at the Wheel Bores in the Pictures.

First, the Wheel Bores are Rounded.

Next, the Wheel Bores are Polished/Waxed with Perfluorinated Wax.

Large Diameter Lathed Outer Tread 

Reduce Radial Run-out of Wheels.

 All Four Wheels will have the Same Diameter. 

The Wheel Set Outer Tread Diameter is 1.1785".

Lateral (side-to-side) Runout of Wheels are Very Small.

We Do Not REAM Bores: REAMED Bores = Large Bores = Slow Cars

Lathed Outer Wheel Hub: 

 Outer Hub is Cut to Remove Imperfections.  Result: A Superior Contact Area for Axle Head to Rotate Against.  

Trued Inside Wheel Hub: 

 Inside Hub is Cut to True the Inside Edge that Rotates Against the Car.  

Lathed (Trued) Inside Edge of Thread

 Minimize the Effect of Lateral Runout on the Inside of the Wheel.
