Collectiion or rare early photographs

19th Century Through A Master Lens

This well designed and profusely artbook showcases an early pioneer of black and white art photography in 19th Century, William Notman

The oversized art book is a First Edition from 1993 and is in very good collectible condition. Each of the 100s of historic images was printed in 300-line duotone on heavy coated paper stock for best reproduction.

The images range from interesting individuals like Sitting Bull to classic granite buildings to winter sports.

The book measures 9.5  x 12 inches and contains 230 pages. It was written by Gordon Dodds, Roger Hall and Stanley Triggs.

Book is in near Fine condition, with pictorial dust jacket, and hard cloth-covered front and rear covers. There are no signs of ownership or handling: no writing or bent pages, no bookmarks, no remainder or library marks. The spine is robust and the binding is firm.

The dust jacket does have minor shelf wear wear along the extremities, largely  hidden by a brand new archival jacket protector.
