Are you worried about spending an exorbitant amount of money on a Porsche replacement that will break like your original part.   This replacement cover has been updated to strengthen the part and eliminate the failure points on the original part. This part weighs 70 grams vs 52 for the original part.  Don't pay $150 for a weak original part when you can get a better replacement for less.

This part can be painted to match other trim colors easily with a coat of adhesion promoter and then a coat or two of the color to match the trim in your vehicle.  A final coating of Flat or Matte clear coat will get the finish very close to the original trim finish. 

The original expansion rivet that holds the part to the seat (999-507-599-40) is not included.  The S clip that holds it to the seat is not included (999-507-592-01).
