New as in it was never read.  This and others came from a business where these comics were handed out to customers as a giveaway.  The comic story revolves around Jim and Sally and how they found out that "being alert today can mean being alive tomorrow" and learning how to prepare in the event of an enemy attack.  There is a glossary of civil defense words and terms.  So appropriate of that era.  28 pages.  Al Capp's Lil Abner is on the front cover to introduce the story.
