Gray's Pottery Vintage Cream Pitcher Copper Purple Lustre Stoke-On-Trent-England (Sailing Ship Image) LIKE NEW Condition

This marvelous A.E. Gray & Company Sailing Ship pitcher is created in gorgeous earthenware.  Staffordshire pottery and is glazed in a beautiful maroon splashed lustre pattern. This design was used from 1939-1945 and Sam Talbot, NRD was most likely the artist. There is a hearty 1800's style sailing ship gracing the front and there is a pointed spout with D shaped handle. Backstamp reads: "Gray's Pottery. Made in Stoke on Trent, England. This particular stamp dates this lovely piece from 1942-1958. The pitcher measures approximately 3.75 inches high by 4 inches long (spout to handle) and sits on a 2-inch base.
