In 1934 Cadbury launched a new line of Bourneville cocoa marketed
directly at children. With the strap line "A toy in every tin",
Cadburys commissioned Ernest Alfred to design and Britain's Limited
to manufacture, a range of hollow cast lead figures which were given away in
every tin of Children's Bournville Cocoa. One Cococub was in every tin from
1934 to 1939. For sale is a cardboard token which could be saved and sent off to exchange for houses for the cococubs and of the club offers between 1934 and 1937.
I provide high resolution photographs and describe the items as honestly
and accurately as possible, but the photos tell the best story of age and
condition. Please study them carefully prior to purchase. More
photos can be provided upon request.
I regularly list lead figures by most 20th century English hollow-cast
lead manufacturers including Barrett & Sons (B&S), Benbros, Britains,
