This MacBook Pro was working fine. Then last week I turned it on and this is what happens.

Press power button.

Green power indicator immediately lights up.

Screen stays blank, keyboard does not illuminate.

Then the fans spin up from slow gradually getting faster and faster but nothing on the display and no illuminated keyboard.

I am selling this for parts. As I know the screen, optical drive, keyboard and trackpad all work fine. The case is also in excellent condition.

Hopefully this can recycled for parts or fixed for someone in the know.

The battery has been removed. She still comes alive when you plug in a MagSafe charger though. Just doesn’t boot up at all as described.

The harddrive has been wiped. It has a healthy status. That’s it. I’ve not attempted to fix or take apart the MacBook any further than the photo shows.

Hopefully you can fix it. I did not drop it, simply one day it just would not boot to the apple screen, very frustrating. She was originally £999 back in the day.

A £60 project for someone or to be parted out.
