1970s Women's Girl's Hand Crocheted Light Blue Poncho w/ Fringe & Buttons

 

 

Found this in a drawer. I first thought maybe this was one of the ponchos my grandma made for me back in the 60s and 70s, but I didn't recognize it. So, I tried it on. I'm 5'7" and about 125 and it fits. Maybe a tad short so I think my grandma must have made this for my Mom—who is only 5' 1". I'm not sure anyone ever wore this. I don't think I ever saw Mom in a poncho! About 24" long including the fringe. Also has grey buttons and has a "cutout" for your arms—another reason I thought adult rather than kid: it's right at the crook of the inside of my elbow. It's not wool so I assume some sort of synthetic fiber.
