About this magazine title:
Football Weekly News went for a different market than Goal or Shoot type magazines. High quality articles and in-depth reporting on all levels of football. It's like the UK version of World Soccer and so it should be because the same people created it.

Each magazine has a colour cover and 40 B&W pages. The are some great interviews and it's a good way to find facts & figures from that era. High quality content and eye for detail is also born-out in the colour team pages which some issue contained.

First issue is date 22-29 August 1979. The magazine only ran for short time, this period in the UK history the was not much spare money around.

Information that may be helpful:

The more you buy the cheaper the postage cost per magazine.

Combined Postage: Postage is quoted here on the basis of one item ordered. If your order includes more than one item I will always combine them in one package to save you money - that is you use the shopping basket feature then pay for them all in one order - I will collect the items, pack them & weigh them before buying the postage label online. I always use Royal Mail so you can check the prices online but remember eBay takes 10% of the postage you pay. So if you pay £2.70, the postage I receive just £2.48. One magazine to post can cost between £2.30 and £2.60. Plus packing.

My costs: Selling one magazine at £2.20 costs me 59p in eBay fees. Postage at £2.70 costs you 27p in eBay fees, a board backed envelope costs me 20-30p, a postage box costs 30-50p

Delivery: I live in a small village. The postage office is only open on the mornings of Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday. For this reason, although I aim to post as soon as possible I can not always post within 3 days.

About me: Many years ago I had an online business selling football memorabilia (not eBay). I bought & sold anything interesting. I sold high value items such as match worn world cup final shirts to something as bizarre as the drawing for a football stadium. But my bread & butter was always football magazines and cup final programmes, tickets etc, I used to sell these worldwide & had many regular customers because of the quality I offered. What I list now is either left over stock which had been stored for over 5 years since I retired or items from my own collection. For those reason you should regard these items are quality checked by an expert of the topic.  Always happy to hear from people so feel free to ask questions.
