CHURCH’S VINTAGE OXFORD - BLACK – UK 7 – BAMFORD - EXCELLENT CONDITION
A super, vintage pair of Church’s iconic Custom Grade cap-toe oxford
shoes in beautiful black box calf leather. A lovely example of a Church’s
classic. They are in excellent used condition, overall – notwithstanding a
little creasing across the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there (see
photos). This pair are in their original box, complete with dust bags.
In my opinion, although modern-day Church’s shoes are still very
desirable, well-made and fashioned from first-class materials, they are not
quite as exceptional as those from some years ago. So, if you can find a pair
of vintage Church’s in really nice condition then you are probably finding some
of the nicest shoes around.
But, please remember, these are not new so do not bid on them if you
want a pair of completely unmarked shoes – they will cost considerably more !!
The style is ‘Bamford’ – a beautifully proportioned and elegant
design – this pair were formed on the wonderful 100 Last.
The width fitting is ‘F’ – which is the ‘standard’ width fitting.
The shoes feature leather soles, calf leather uppers, lightweight
leather / linen linings and all the build-quality that one expects from this
traditional English shoemaker.
