Johann Haviland był synem założyciela słynnej manufaktury Haviland & Co. Z pomocą przyjaciela chemika, dr Zimmera zbudował fabrykę niedaleko Selb. W okolicy było już wiele znakomitych firm więc aby dorównac otoczeniu Haviland chciał uzyzkać jak najwyższą jakość. Piece uruchomiono 10 marca 1910 roku. Po roku od założenia firma zdobyła Grand Prix na wystawie światowej w Turynie. W czasie 1 wojny światowej firma zaprzestała produkcji a po wojnie nie umiała się podnieść. W 1937 roku zakupił ją Rosenthal. Firma dostarcza najwyższej jakości kremowobiałej porcelany do dzisiaj.

Porcelain item in ivory color, gilded in vertical stripes, painted with floral patterns. The amphora is in excellent condition, 16 cm in height, 9 cm in diameter at the widest point. The pouring diameter is 5.5 cm.
Johann Haviland was the son of the founder of the famous Haviland & Co. factory. With the help of his chemist friend, Dr. Zimmer, he built a factory near Selb. In the area, there were already many excellent companies, so to match the surroundings, Haviland wanted to achieve the highest quality. The kilns were started on March 10, 1910. A year after its establishment, the company won the Grand Prix at the World Exhibition in Turin. During World War I, the company ceased production, and after the war, it struggled to recover. In 1937, it was purchased by Rosenthal. The company continues to supply high-quality cream-colored porcelain to this day.
