Porcelain plate with fine vedute painting: In the mirror, an octagonal picture panel against a gold background, framed with matt gold painted festoons above and below the picture, depicting the view of Baden near Vienna from the Calvary.
Red-brown plate flag framed with delicate intertwined floral tendrils in gold and gold edges.
On the underside of the plate inscription: 'Vue de Baaden, en Autriche.' - View of Baaden, in Austria.

 View of Baden near Vienna from the Kalvarienberg, probably from the place where the Beethoven Temple is today, which was built in 1927 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary. The anniversary of the death of Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827).
