What you need to know before you buy:
1. please connect the external drive to the direct USB port on the computer. If it is connected to a USB hub or extension cable, the PC or laptop may not be able to recognise it or read the CD/DVD.
2. desktops must be connected to the rear USB port when using the external dvd drive. If the external burner is connected to the front USB port of the computer, the USB port for drive may not provide sufficient power. Insufficient power may cause the drive to malfunction.
3. make sure that your computer has a media player. You can download the VLC Media Player.
Warm tips:
1. the external CD/DVD drive does not work with tablets, cars, TVs, iPads and smartphones. This optical drive is not suitable for Chromebook, Blu-ray disc, PS4 and Projector.
2. the external CD drive is well compatible with Windows XP/98/Vista/7/8/10/11 (The Win98 system needs to install the driver), Linux, Mac OS 8.6 (higher also) system.
3. this external CD drive supports reading and burning CDs and DVDs.

5. the external drive is suitable for 8/10 cm discs.
6. the DVD drive is not compatible with Blu-ray discs, 3D, 4K and 2K DVD.
The drive can read and write CDs and DVDs. Possible reasons why the drive does not burn CD DVD:
1. you are using the used CD-R disc. Please use other CDs or DVDs.
2. do not download burning software. Please download burning software.
3. Insufficient performance of the USB port. If you are using a desktop computer, insert the drive into the back of the computer. Do not insert on the front.
