O Festival de Ópera e Música Clássica de Ponte de Lima, festival de música clássica e ópera, realiza-se todos os anos desde 2003, com actuações nomeadamente no Teatro Diogo Bernardes, inaugurado em 1896. O Festival Internacional de Jardins de Ponte O Festival Internacional de Jardins de Lima, que acontece desde 2005, acontece aqui todos os anos de maio a outubro com orientações temáticas variáveis.
Os numerosos monumentos arquitetônicos do distrito incluem edifícios históricos públicos e residenciais, pontes romanas, escavações pré-históricas e uma variedade de mansões e edifícios religiosos. Em Ponte de Lima, todo o centro histórico da cidade também está sob protecção monumental.

Zu den zahlreichen Baudenkmälern des Bezirks zählen historische öffentliche Gebäude und Wohnhäuser, römische Brücken, prähistorische Ausgrabungen sowie eine Vielzahl von Herrenhäusern und religiösen Gebäuden. Auch in Ponte de Lima steht der gesamte historische Stadtkern unter Denkmalschutz.
