The item listed for sale is a truly rare, blue and white two tone coloured casing with an 18 carat gold Medium sized nib and 18 carat gold finishings.
This is a Conway Stewart prototype Churchill style fountain pen supplied with an additional gold trimmed alternating style / detailing barrel.
The product was originally commissioned back in the early 2000's by Chelsea Football Club. It was proposed to form part of an exclusive Centenary Year Season 2004-2005 collection of luxury pens to commemorate Chelseas historical achievement. This coincided with the football club winning back to back English Premier League titles through seasons 2003-2004 and 2004-2005 respectively. The owner Roman Abramovich and manager Jose Mourinho proved to be an unstoppable force.
The Conway Stewart prototype collection included, to the best of my knowledge, a few of this yellow metal gold and similar though not identical white metal sterling silver model 'Churchill' fountain pens alongside a sterling silver finished rollerball ballpoint offering. The other two styles have been listed under eBay auction numbers 203799845350 and 194724043937 respectively.
I'm led to believe this completes this very rare pen collection but may stand corrected on the exact number sampled. This may be the only 3 pen set ( sold separately ) of it's kind in the world.
Sadly and for whatever reason the pen project never materialised with Chelsea FC. The handful of prototype pens eventually made their way onto an auction site a few years later. I doubt if even the billionaire Abramovich possesses the various pens set.
Unfortunately the world famous writing instrument makers later went into liquidation a decade later whereby Conway Stewart stocks and assets were acquired by the Bespoke British Pens Limited.
The product for sale comes supplied in a dark green coloured cardboard box. Inside the cardboard box is a dark green and gold display box with dark green / gold felt type display diamond shape holder. The whole package ( excluding additional packaging for sending ) weighs over 1 kilo
The pen displays numerous aspects of yellow metal 18 carat gold and duly hallmarked as such on the lid banding.
The lid is also inscribed with the word ' CENTENARY' and displays the Chelsea FC club crest in gold finishing at the top of the lid. The main barrel contains the wording ' Chelsea Football Club, Centenary Year 1905-2005 ' and ' Conway Stewart Churchill Made In England'
The alternate matching barrel contains the following inscriptions :- ' Chelsea Football Club, Centenary Celebration, 1905-2005 ' and ' Conway Stewart Churchill Sample Made In England'.
The uninked pen weighs in at approximately 28 grammes with the alternate barrel weighing in at approximately 9 grammes.
I am neither a pen collector or specialist on the subject so please don't ask me any technical issues on this product.

Unfortunately the cost of sending this collectors item abroad is so expensive simply due to the value, associated insurance costs and the fact it will have to be sent via a tracked courier service which will be very expensive.
