This autobiography of a woman who was kidnapped by Tamil guerrillas in 1986 recount her life in Italy, Greece, Turkey and Cyprus, where she worked for the Red Cross during the EOKA terrorist campaign. She later worked as a special correspondent for The Sunday Times in and around the Mediterranean area. Married to a contract officer, for some time in the Sultan of Oman's army, she saw and reported on the progress of the Dhofar war.
