Six deep plates with a basket rim, richly decorated with butterflies and flowering branches in lively colors, gold rim and light green surrounding band with leaf decoration and gold highlights, scattered flowers on the underside of the plate.

 One of the oldest and best-known designs from the Herend Porcelain Manufactory in a Far Eastern style. This colorful decoration brought the manufactory its first high-level recognition, which also established its international reputation. The service decorated in this way received the first prize of the jury at the London World Exhibition of 1851. The crowning achievement, however, was that the namesake, the British Queen Victoria, ordered a service with this decor for her castle.
