Garnet is not really a kind of gemstone but rather a family of related gemstone species.  This one, a mixed spessartite species, is from one of my most favorite parcels of colored stones that I have ever owned.  Several years ago, a gem dealer showed me a parcel of maybe 30 or 40 unique 7 x 5 mm oval garnets.  They were mostly spessartite garnets and mixed spessartites, and ranged in color from golden to peach to orange to bronze.  Every single stone was beautiful and who could choose?  So, I asked him, "how much if I buy the entire parcel?"; and I did indeed purchase the entire parcel.  Then he said, "I have another parcel just like it in 5 mm rounds"...and I bought that parcel too!

This gem has a wonderful, deep but bright burnt orange color. There is one eye visible needle inclusion in the stone, which I don't mind at all.  It is simply a great example of nature putting a crystal within another crystal, and to me even adds to the aura of the gem.

The garnet and the diamonds are all 100% genuine, natural, untreated, and unenhanced.  This ring is solid gold and unworn; don't be duped into buying a cheap gold-plated ring or someone else's worn-out castoff!
