1987 Honda Transalp XL600V Dual Sport

Purrs like a kitten, 100% roadworthy.

None were officially ever imported into Canada.

60K kilometres showing - engine is NOT the 87/88 “black” engines and I believe the provenance to be of a Honda Shadow VLX.

Bike was pulled apart completely summer of ’22 - notable items below replaced/attended to:

Crash Bars

Givi Plate Adapter added to rear rack

Luggage Racks with Caribou Cases Pelican Case luggage

New cush drive rubbers [OEM]

New chain [DID heavy duty]

New rear sprocket and rear wheel hardware

New front sprocket [Superpinion kkbike]

Valve clearances adjusted

Oil change/spark plugs/fork oil/coolant flush/air filter

ADDED fan switch [properly, not a hack job] to activate fan whenever you choose. They tend to only turn on at what appears to be a too high temp for my liking (thermostat is fine) - only useful for trail use/traffic crawling in hot weather. Nice peace of mind.

Exhaust had loose baffle inside, opened up and welded. DIY ceramic coat.

Rear link was seized, fully disassembled and repaired with OEM parts.

New voltage regulator [MOSFET]

CDI boxes relocate mod [stops potential rubbing issue fraying wires]

Heidenau K60s @ apx 80% tread life

*** OUTPUT SHAFT IS IN MINT CONDITION ***

*** PLASTICS were in less than excellent condition. Fixed to best of my ability. The paint was NOT FULLY FINISHED. I am including new decals with the bike. It’s up to you whether you wish to refinish the existing plastics (as in, paint) or purchased new plastics from Perfect Fairing and finish those.
