A rare vintage trinket/Jewellery box depicting the Trundholm Solar Chariot, designed by Aedel Malm and produced by the Danish Nordisk Malm.

Trundholm's solar chariot was discovered in 1902 by a farmer on the Danish island of Zealand while plowing. The depot find found in a former peatland is a small bronze statue dated around 1400 BC. It consists of a horse pulling a disc representing the Sun. The horse rolls on four wheels and the disc on two. All wheels have four spokes, they form the sun cross.

The "chariot" consists only of the solar disc, the carrying axle and the wheels. It is unclear whether the Sun is represented as a chariot or as a chariot driver. The presence of a horse-drawn vehicle on four-pack wheels in northern Europe at such an early period is unexpected. The solar chariot is exhibited at the National museum in Copenhagen.
