This is a Rare Antique Working 19th Century ELGIN Model 1 "Grade 13" Victorian 'Post Civil War' Gents Large Silver 'Key Wind' Pocket Watch with Watch Chain, made by the Elgin Watch Company Elgin ILL. USA, circa 1880. The Porcelain Dial Has Roman Numerals with Seconds Sweep Hand, signed "Elgin Nat'l Watch Co.", with Heavy Beveled Glass. Also Included is a Watch Chain with Winding Key. This is a Rare Early Elgin Watch with Low Serial Number!!! The Movement is an 11 Jewel Key Wind Mechanical Movement, Signed "Elgin Nat'l Watch Co. Elgin ILL. 708778". The Case is a Large Open Face Silveroid 'Nickel Silver' Case, in Good Original Condition, Click and Enlarge Photos For Details. The Watch is Large and is Size 18s and is a "Key Wind and Key Set" Watch, and Includes a Winding Key. I Wound the Watch Up and it Runs and Sets, But Has Not Been Serviced, Sold As Found.
