Antique Hand-Carved Triple Oak Gambling Tantalus & 3 Crystal Cut Glass Decanters

This is a trio of intricate crystal-cut glass patterned decanters, with faceted cut glass stoppers.  
  
The decanters come encased in their original oak tantalus, furnished with a handle to each side, a mirror behind the decanter compartments, nickel silver details and intricate hand-carved detailing. 
 
The tantalus has a 2 compartment section at the front with a double door closure. When the doors are closed, the decanters are unable to be removed. 
 
When the compartments are open, there is a hidden button which when pressed, opens a secret drawer. 
 
Inside the compartments and drawer are counters, a miniature chess set and 2 complete packs of Piatnik cards in their original box. 
 
Tantalus such as this one would have been used to put alcohol on show within wealthy families, without unauthorized people being able to steal it.   
  
Perfect item for a collector, or for use.
