Experience the history behind the Italian Navy's Decima Flottiglia MAS who pioneered Naval Special Warfare during World War Two. The 45mm MKII series dive watch pays homage to the Italian Naval Commandos of the 1950s.  The crown protector was an innovation that increased water resistance during dive missions. The Italian Navy (Marina Militare) Special Warefare teams required a way for crowns to stay locked and prevent water from entering the case while performing missions.

The Fifty Five Fathoms is proud to introduce the Italian Navy MKII Diver with in a 45mm (316L) case size.  Powering the watch is a manual wind ST3600 movement with 3-Days of power reserve similar to the original. The dial has a painted Marina Militare marking signifying use with the Italian Navy.  The hands are matte black creating a more tactical aesthetic. As our watches are build to order, you will also be able to select rose gold hands (please send us a note when purchasing). 

This case is CNC milled out of a single block of 316L stainless steel to ensure its ruggedness and ability to perform under the harshest conditions. 

This version of Italian Navy MKII does not have a seconds hand at the 9 o'clock position.  We also carry a version with the seconds hand for a more tactical feel.
