Up for Sale are 40 Vintage Textile Mill Spools. Made by the American Paper Tube Company which is clearly stamped on several. ***Photos 2 & 3 will show the actual spools you will receive. All other photos are from a previous lot sold. These Spools were made to replace the more costly wood spools used in Shoe Factories and Textile Mills. The Surface is slightly ribbed, hollow tube and the end edges are capped with a metal ring. Interesting Factory Pieces for Crafters or Artisians! Perfect Pieces for Your Next RePurpose Project. These can NOT be broken or snapped by hand as they were made to with stand the torque of being unwound by machinery. Each is 12"L and slightly tapered. Larger end is 1 3/8" diameter with inside diameter of end 1 1/8", narrow end is 1" diameter and inside 3/4".
