This is an extremely long Japanese vintage shigoke scarf/sash/shawl in a stunning Shu red colour

The fabric is smooth soft silk. There are woven motifs of flying cranes throughout.

These are an auspicious symbol symbolising longevity and fidelity.

There is a decorative deep gold colour fringe with some strands of sparkling gold thread.

There are two rows of fine gold stitching at each end. See photos.

This item would be used with traditional Japanese costume, as a sash or to decorate a fukuro obi.

This item would also be suitable as a long silk scarf if preferred. Great for evenings, weddings and parties too.

In excellent vintage condition. No noticeable marks or flaws. Please check the photos carefully
