TECHNOLOGY:   HANDMADE CAMEO GLASS
Glass covered with several layers, in which motifs are worked out in high cut. Since the mid-19th century The shaping was also done by etching. Vessels made of cameo glass were already made in ancient times, and at the end of the 19th century. In the 19th century, Émile Gallé further developed this glass art, created Art Nouveau designs and employed a large factory in Nancy.
