San Francisco Bay Brand Freeze-Dried Krill contains high levels of protein, Omega-3s, and astaxanthin – a natural color enhancer responsible for the vibrant colors of aquarium fish. It is the perfect food for feeding large saltwater and freshwater fish and aquatic turtles. Krill provides essential nutrients that help maintain high energy levels, health, and wellness. Fish easily digest them, benefitting water quality, allowing you to enjoy your aquarium. Each spring, our krill (Euphausia superba), a shrimp-like crustacean, is sustainably harvested* from Antarctic waters. As they mainly feed on phytoplankton (microscopic marine algae), krill is rich in marine-derived proteins and rich in marine-derived lipids (including the Omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA).
