London: Longman, Brown, Green, and Longmans, 1856, First Edition in Two Volumes.

Full polished calf leather binding by Bickers Bookbinders, with gilt decorated spines, gilt titles to twin leather red and green labels, inner blind stamped dentelles, top page edges darkened, others marbled.

Provenance: dedication to Frederick George Milner (later Sir FredericK) from Christopher Smyth, 'on his leaving Eton', with the Milner bookplate to the front pastedown.

Approximately 8 inches tall.
