From Arc Reclamation.

A pretty, reclaimed, Art Nouveau bedroom combination fire for DECORATIVE USE. The fire has a classic and elegant design with a domed smoke hood and an Art Nouveau design above it on the crossbar. The mantel has moulded side and front edges and the front corners are nicely shaped. The fire retains its shaped front bars, grill and fire brick. The fire has two fixing lugs, one on either side, under the mantel for fixings to attach the fire to the wall and the feet have small tabs. The iron has been blacked and polished and has a nice finish.

The fire is in solid reclaimed condition with some signs of age and some damage and it is now suitable for DECORATIVE USE ONLY. The original smoke flap is missing and it has a card replacement sprayed black, therefore the fire cannot be used. The right hand leg, when looking at the fire, has a small hole and a chip out of the side (see pictures 10 & 11). The iron has some casting marks and pitting. The fire brick has some knocks and pitting. The mantel screws do not sit totally flush with the mantel. The back of the fire has surface rust, as expected.  Please see pictures for condition details. The fire is an elegant and classic Art Nouveau item and it would suit many interiors and add character to a fireplace.

Collection is welcomed by appointment. We can also organise delivery to most UK locations. Please message us in advance of purchase to get a delivery quote.

If you wish to arrange your own courier for collection, we would bubble wrap the item free of charge.  There are a few points we would like to make you aware of in terms of risk.

1)  There is a small amount of risk with transporting any item.

2)  This risk can be minimised by either collecting in person or using a trusted person or company to move the item for you.

3)  We have been using the same trusted family firm of couriers for many years now and are happy with their services, additionally you are covered for loss or damage.

4)  If you decide to appoint your own courier, the contract for delivery is between yourselves and them so if an item is damaged or lost you would go to them for compensation.  We would not be liable for loss or damage in transit.

5)  For cast iron items, no amount of bubble wrap will protect them from smashing if they were allowed to fall over.  Therefore careful handling by the courier is paramount.  I would urge you not to book a parcel carrier, although cheaper.  I would choose a door to door courier who does not use depots to transfer items.

6)  If your delivery address is under 25 miles from us at GU32 3PB we can quote you for delivery in our own van. Please contact us for a quote.

Please see our other listings for unusual items. Thanks.
