" I am a Kitty,
Good as gold ,
Mother's treasure ,
Just three month's old."

" I jump on the sofa,
I sit on the table,
 And scamper and play,
 As long as I'm able."

etc., etc.

" In a quarrel with Fido,
For me he's no match,
He can only bite,
While I can scratch."

" Away he runs,
 For mercy he begs,
With his curly tail
Between his legs."

" Then when I'm tired,
 I find a soft rug,
And curl myself on it,
 And sleep warm and snug."

" That is my story,
 I think you'll agree,
There's nowhere so happy
A kitten as me ! "
