E.C. Allen Christian Hymn Anthology Poetry Book

an Antique 1880 book entitled "Guests of the Heart."

No date, but this is the 1st printing believed to be the 1st

edition. Gilt blind stamped Gold cloth covers with a Lily

of the Valley floral on the front and back.

Contains Christian works by Lucy Larcom, Susan Coolidge,

F.W. Faber, Herbert Knowles, Lord Lytton,

Thomas N. Talfourd, James Russell, Florence Grover,

John Whittier, and so many others.

Fourteen (14) Black & White illustrations.

Weighs 1 pound 8.2 ounces.

Measurements:

5 and 1/2" in width, 7 and 7/8" in length,

1 and 1/4" in depth.

VERY GOOD ANTIQUE CONDITION.

All 284 pages are clean and intact.

Tight text block with only minor pulling

away from spine towards the front. Corners

are bumped, the top and bottom of spine

shows deterioration. No foxed pages.

No interior inscriptions, but there is a 1905

dated dedication on the front end paper that

can be erased.
