Known as hard plastic spiles or hard cask pegs these are used to seal a real ale cask at the end of a serving session or when the cask is empty and are replacing the traditional hardwood spiles throughout the industry as the plastic spiles ensure that the plastic shives can be recycled when they are removed from the cask.

They are also used to replace porous spiles once the conditioning process is complete ready for tapping the Cask ensuring that the beer is in perfect condition when tapped.

These spiles are approx 58mm in length and are made of food grade plastic. 

Sold in packs of 10, 25 and 50 these hard plastic spiles can be reused after cleaning.
