Marina Vitalyevna Vasilevskaya (Vasileuskaya) is a flight attendant for Belavia Airlines in Belarus. She will become the first Belarusian woman in space.

In December 2022, during a competitive selection held in Belarus, she was selected among six applicants from more than three thousand girls to participate in a space flight under "Belarusian Woman in Space" project on the Russian Soyuz spacecraft to ISS for a short duration mission.

In May 2023, she was one of the two remaining candidates (Anastasia Lenkova, being the other selected as her backup) following the Belarus Space Agency selection to fly aboard  Soyuz MS-25 as a  spaceflight participant in March 2024.

She was designated as a member of prime crew of ISS EP-21.

She will travel to the station with Roscosmos  cosmonaut Oleg Novistky and NASA  astronaut Tracy Cladwell-Dyson, where she and Oleg will spend approximately 12 days aboard the orbital complex as a part of 21st ISS visiting expedition. 

 After spending 12 days on the International Space Station, she and Oleg will return to Earth aboard Soyuz MS-24 with NASA astronaut Loral O’Hara. 


Information about Soyuz MS-25 mission:


Soyuz MS-25 is planning to launch from Baikonur on 21 March 2024 to ISS.

This is the first non-Russian launch of two women astronauts/cosmonauts, NASA astronaut Tracy Caldwell-Dyson,and  fligth participant from Belarus- Marina Vasilevskaya (Vasileuskaya), on Soyuz mission. The spacecraft commander is cosmonaut  Oleg Novistky.

Astronaut Tracy Caldwell-Dyson will launch on the Soyuz MS-25 spacecraft and spend approximately six months aboard the International Space Station. She will travel to the station with Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Novistky and spaceflight participant Marina Vasilevskaya (Vasileuskaya) Belarus, both of whom will spend approximately 12 days aboard the orbital complex as a part of 21st ISS visiting expedition. 

Astronaut Tracy Dyson will return to Earth on September 24, 2024 with Roscosmos cosmonauts Oleg Kononenko and Nikolai Chub on the Soyuz MS-25 spacecraft. Kononenko and Chub are there on ISS since September 2023 with NASA astronaut Loral O’Hara on Soyuz MS-24 spacecraft. Kononenko and Chub will remain aboard the orbital laboratory for about one year. Astronaut L. O’Hara, returned after spending six months aboard the space station, she returned with Novitsky and Vasilevskaya on the Soyuz MS-24 spacecraft.
