The ring has a blue bow tied at the top.

Additional information :

Charles Baum was born in Ohio.
With the outbreak of the Civil War , on November 11th, 1861 he enlisted in the 80th Ohio Infantry, Company C at Camp Meigs. He served just over year when he was discharged for rheumatism and cardiac debility on December 5th, 1862.
His birth name was Kauffman Baum, but he adopted the more Americanized name of Charles after the Civil War ended.
After the war, Baum relocated to Washington, D.C. and established a store at at Louisiana Avenue which specialized in corsets and hoop skirts. The store prospered and evolved into a large and successful department store at 416 7th Street.
By the late 1880s Baum had over 25 departments in his store, specializing in dry goods, millinery, ladies hats, and ladies cloaks. Baum's store also sold books and numerous other household items.
Baum's wise business practices and honest dealings earned him a respected position in the Washington D.C. community in the late 1800s.
