This is a unique men’s vintage Rolex datejust in solid 18K yellow gold. The entire watch is 18k yellow gold with a beautiful gold tone dial and the original diamond factory dial. The entire watch is solid 18K yellow gold including the case, back, and crown. It comes on the original matching solid 18k Yellow gold jubilee bracelet. It has the high quality automatic oyster perpetual movement. This is the men’s model with the date feature at 3 o’clock.
What makes this rare and beautiful watch so exceptionally unique is that this was a personal gift given by Henry Ford, the Head Automobile Executive at the Ford Motor Company. It was given as a personal gift, to one of his oldest employees, in 1978! This watch has Henry Ford’s imprinted signature on the back; we were told only a few watches exist today with this unique feature! It also says that it was given to a Robert E. Parish Junior in 1978. We did research and confirmed that Robert E. Parish Junior was in fact a very devoted employee to the Ford Motor Company. According to our research, Mr. Parish worked at Ford for many years alongside his son, father, and brother’s as well. He purportedly worked there for over 30 years!
The watch is in absolutely mint unused condition, with very slight wear. It is virtually perfect in every respect. It comes in the original box with the original booklets and will be shipped exactly as described and photographed. This is a truly extraordinarily rare one of a kind watch, that was actually purchased by Henry Ford and given to one of his key employees at the Ford Motor Company! It includes Ford’s own unique signature on the back – which was likely requested by Ford to be engraved by Rolex for the recipient.
