These books etc. come from my father-in-law's estate. We have an entire weaving and yarn shop inventory to sell that was filled to the brim.
This book was found in a locked glass bookcase in my father-in-law's yarn shop. This book is in MINT condition. The spine is unbroken. Dust jacket has normal wear and tear. Actual front and back boards have no damage and is a lovely black linen with white lettering. No marks or highlighting in text. Pages are bright white, crisp, clean and unmarked. Cover lies flat. Stunning and very retro black and white illustrations and diagrams. Illustrated, collectible, 2nd edition.
This is the second edition.
The DJ is signed 'lustig' in the upper front right corner of the DJ, is in amazing condition. The DJ is NEAR MINT with only some nicks and some small tears starting and one larger one on the rear DJ on the spine that we are gently tacking down for safety in shipping. The flaps are NOT clipped. The back interior flap has some light age spotting. The back inside flap shows all the people, from author Schroeder, the 3 amazing illustrators, and the cover designer Alvin Lustig and lists their bona fides.
The black linen boards are in excellent condition, but my pictures show some minor lint on the boards. I just cleaned that up. Sorry, old eyes, and I didn't notice that before. All pages are in excellent condition (please see photos to verify) except the Publisher page. That has a small triangle missing from the bottom left near the corner. If you zoom in on the copyright page, it can be seen on the page behind the words 'Printed in the United States of America'. That is all that is wrong with this book.

PLEASE NOTE: For absolutely no reason, eBay keeps changing the formatting on multiple listings which makes pictures un-viewable. PLEASE NOTE: Because eBay is composed of soulless, bloodsucking monsters, and because it is forcing us to use an ISBN number for a book that DOES NOT have an ISBN number, and even when it DOES have an ISBN, still won’t let us use it, so we use one of a random book. Our book is pre-ISBN numbers. The Library of Congress number is not in this book. The LOC does not hyphenate when you put the number in to verify. Fake ISBN number is 9781014236289. Correct ISBN number is non-existent. We put in whichever one the system will take. Sorry!

Note: We are running out of estate books and will be slowly changing over to their other possessions – some serious, some MCM, some just funky, or kitschy. Others are Depression era. Some will be brand new items, still in their packaging, and others will be more mainstream books (from one of the Grandma’s) or some of our personal books or collectables, as we are not leaving this mess to our kids. Shipping – All books are shipped on Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday on the first day possible after payment is received around 8 to 9 AM. They are shipped by Media Mail in heavy brown paper, similar to a grocery paper bag. All wrapping and shipping materials are recycled from the cardboard to bubble wrap to 50 year old envelopes. Our packages are ugly, but are very carefully wrapped to arrive safely. We always refund shipping credit if you buy multiple items. Free local pick up. We refund your shipping charges!
