This antique Chinese soapstone figurine set features two hand-carved spiritual figures, Shouxing and Quan-Yin. The figures are intricately detailed and crafted from green soapstone with a beautiful patina. The set is an original piece from China, dating back to ca. 1900-1910 era, and Shou is signed by the carver.


The set is ideal for collectors of Asian antiques and those interested in Chinese spiritual culture. Shou is a stellar God, representing longevity, fortune, and immortality. He is hold the immortality peach in his hand. Quan-Yin is the Goddess of compassion and mercy. She is holding a vase with waters of compassion. The color, texture, and theme of the figures make them a unique addition to any collection or decor.


Soapstone, which looks like jade, is not as hard, and over the years they have acquired a few dings. No cracks. No major nicks or chips. The worse dings are shown in the last enlarged photos. Picture #19 shows the signature. It is not a damage photo. Each stands approximately 7" in height.
