Vintage/Antique Winsor & Newton Wooden Paint box with Palette.

This well loved paint box is approximately 100 years old and was used by a portrait painter raised on a farm in New York State who eventually had a shop on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.

Winsor & Newton metal plate attached.

Brass escutcheons for closing are present, one in tact, one loose.

Hinges work well.

Wood is in good shape, no cracks or splits.

Wooden palette fits into the case.

Small mixing cups included.

Slots in the lid for small canvas boards for plein air painting.

Handle is missing, artist used twine to create a replacement.

This is a genuine antique and a family heirloom.

Can be used as a painters box, display item or prop.
