1924-1928 an der Budapester Kunsthochschule, danach Studium der
Porzellan-Bildhauerei in Berlin, Entwürfe für mehrere Manufakturen.
- Sculptor, childhood in Vienna, apprenticeship as a sculptor in the Arsenal
foundry in Vienna, 1924-1928 at the Budapest Art School, then studied porcelain
sculpture in Berlin, designs for several factories.

ELEGANTE DAME POSIEREND
Darstellung einer eleganten jungen Dame posierend in langem, tief
ausgeschnittenem hellgrauen Wickelkleid mit Blütendekor in rot, am Rücken
gebundene große rote Schleife, Dreiviertelärmel mit Rüschen, der Rockteil vom
Wind aufgebläht, sodass die langen schlanken Beine von vorne zu sehen sind, auf
dem hochgesteckten Haar ein kleiner, seitlich aufgesetzter Hut mit Schleife, in
der rechten Hand ein zusammengefalteter Fächer, die linke Hand auf die Hüfte
legend und zur Seite blickend.
Die Figur basiert auf ovalem, schwarzem Flachsockel, mit Künstlersignatur
'Claire Weiss' auf dem Sockel, hinter der Figur.

Depiction of an elegant young lady posing in a long, low-cut light gray wrap dress
decorated with red flowers, a large red bow tied at the back, three-quarter sleeves
with ruffles, the skirt part puffed out by the wind so that the long slender legs can be seen from
the front, a small hat with a bow placed on the side of her pinned-up hair, a folded
fan in her right hand, with her left hand on her hip and looking to the side.
The figure is based on an oval, black flat plinth, with the artist's signature 'Claire Weiss' on the plinth, behind the figure.
