Installing an additional tool rest is suggested for long spindle turnings where continuous surface facilitates better control and easing when turning long work such as spindles. This unit is removed from a 12” mono tube Craftsman wood lathe from late 1970’s and is interchangeable with all previous and later designs utilizing the 2-1/4” mono tube.
